Ultrahaptics wins awards in two categories at Travelwest’s Business Travel Awards

Bristol, UK – 3rd November 2016. Bristol technology company, Ultrahaptics has been recognised with two awards at Travelwest’s Business Travel Awards 2016, which was held on the 2nd of November at St George’s, Bristol.  The awards recognise the company’s achievements as part of the Big Commuting Challenge, which was held over the summer months of 2016 and invited companies to compete on logging the most sustainable journeys made by employees. Ultrahaptics came top of the mid-sized business category and received an additional award for the Best Motivational Campaign delivered during the challenge.

Steve Cliffe, Ultrahaptics CEO, who championed the company’s participation in the competition said:

“We are enormously proud to have won this award. At Ultrahaptics we have an ethos that nobody drives to work. Our offices are based right by Temple Meads station, a hub for trains, buses and cycle routes. With continued improvements being made to Bristol’s public transport infrastructure, and support from organisations such as Travelwest to promote more sustainable travel choices, there really is no excuse not to aim high when it comes to a greener commute.

Our challenge now is to maintain this commitment as we grow. We have grown the team from four to over 40 people in the past 2 years, and by the end of 2017 we’ll house over 100 people in our Bristol offices, that’s a lot of carbon footprints!”

To celebrate the award and congratulate the whole Ultrahaptics team, the company will offer employees a free bicycle service. Ultrahaptics are currently recruiting for a number of new positions across all aspects of the business.
